How do you recruit Sableye?

Event-exclusive · “Sableye's Gem Hunt” (Apr 29 – May 14, 2026)

  • Event-exclusive: during the limited-time “Sableye's Gem Hunt” event (Apr 29 – May 14, 2026), collect Red Crystal Fragments on Dream Islands and exchange them for event items.
  • Use those items to build the “Treasure-hunting set” habitat — Sableye appears there, and talking to it makes it your friend.
  • Befriended Pokémon stay in your town after the event ends. Check the official announcements for reruns outside the event period.

Sableye appears in the “Treasure-hunting set” habitat in every region as a Common spawn (all times, all weather). To build “Treasure-hunting set”, place Adventure kit ×1, Map and compass ×1, Treasure ×1 — 3 items in total. When building its home, decorate the surroundings with its ideal environment (Dark), its favorite flavor (Sour flavors), its favorite things (Spooky stuff, Shiny stuff, Luxury) in mind. Once recruited, it helps around town with the Search specialty.

Source note: Event-exclusive: befriended during the limited-time event "Sableye's Gem Hunt" (2026-04-29 to 2026-05-14). Collect Red Crystal Fragments on Dream Islands, exchange them for event items, and build the event habitat to make it appear.
